San Francisco: Twitter users should decide whether former US President Trump will soon be able to comment again on the social media platform. Twitter’s new boss Elon Musk has launched a corresponding online poll. He bears the Latin motto “Vox populi, vox dei”. Translated it means: The voice of the people is the voice of God. At his peak, Trump had more than 88 million Twitter followers. After the assault on the Capitol in January last year, for which US Democrats hold the former president largely responsible, Twitter blocked his account. Trump himself had previously stated that he does not want to return to Twitter, but rather to express himself through his self-founded network called Truth Social.
