Around Neuwied is the ?? MusikkircheLive ?? the other service “is already a well-known brand. Since 2017 this has been taking place in the Church of the Holy Family in the Block district.
Neuwied. But on Saturday, April 24th at 6 pm the location will change: on the occasion of the diocese festival “Holy Rock Days”, the MusikkircheLive (MKL) will be visiting Trier Cathedral for the first time Possibility to celebrate via a stream and a transmission in the open channel.
Modern music, texts with depth and personal encounters ?? this is what the MKL offers. “We consciously want to make an offer to people who no longer feel addressed by traditional church services,” explains Margit Ebbecke, the coordinator and pastor in the Diocese of Trier. “It’s about the lives of individual people and what God means for them in their everyday lives means “, she describes the character of the MKL. “We combine faith and music from everyday life that we hear and love,” she sums up.
Each service is overwritten with a different song, either from rock or pop ?? “Everything except classical and Christian music,” admits Margit Ebbecke with a laugh. This time, “On good days” by pop singer and songwriter Johannes Oerding is the theme song. A small ensemble will play music from the pop genre live in the cathedral. The moderation is provided by the Protestant Christian Nadja Zimmer, pastoral advisor and head of the specialist office plus for children and youth pastoral care in Koblenz, Tobias Theobald, and artist and musician Stephan M. Glöckner. The three of them will talk about their own personal experiences on the subject of “confidence”.
About 40 actors, volunteers and volunteers actually support the organizers in implementing the MKL. But because of the virus, important elements have broken down, such as the “Time & Talk” with small snacks or the performances of your own choir. Before the corona pandemic, around 250 people of all ages and non-denominationally celebrated the service together in the Blocker Church.
With a view to the summer, the organization team is planning an open-air church service on August 29, but then again in familiar areas.
