Ria Rik from Berlin recently released her first single “You’re My Dream”. On the third day after its release, the single made it into Spotify’s November pop hits playlist. In the first week, the song achieved around 1,600 plays.
Ria Rik is originally from Latvia. Her musical talent was discovered in her childhood when she became a soloist in the school choir. She later took jazz singing lessons and found that music is her great passion.
Ria started her solo career in 2011 as a singer at the Festival “Colors Of Summer” in Latvia. Since then, Ria has moved between pop, soul and jazz. Her great influences include Ella Fitzgerald, Stevie Wonder, Sade and Michael Jackson.
In 2015 Ria was a finalist at the “Chanson Songs” festival in Germany. In 2017 her video for the song “Meine Beste Freund” (written by A. Kirss) was number one in the charts of the First Baltic TV Channel for Music for three months.
Her first single “You’re My Dream” was composed by producer Aleksandr Kiss and written by Rita. The song is about a romantic love story, which is conveyed in a very touching way through the melodic musical design of the song, with typical bossa nova guitar sounds, and the mild, enchanting voice of the singer.
