Sergei Chelobanov 62-year-old musician Sergei Chelobanov is preparing for a new project on one of the federal channels, as his director and friend Anatoly Borisov told EG:
— A big project in which Sergei Vasilievich is participating will begin very soon. I’ll say right away that it’s not on Channel One – there’s only politics there now. I don’t want to name the channel so as not to jinx it. “You’ll see everything for yourself soon,” Borisov said.
Sergei Chelobanov occasionally gives concerts for local audiences in his hometown of Balakovo, Saratov region. Fans of Alla Pugacheva buy tickets to remember the courage of their favorite when she sang on stage with the brutal blond Sergei Vasilyevich in an excessively short crimson miniskirt.

Chelobanov tries his best to maintain a macho image and take care of his bangs, but over the years he succeeds less and less:

Now Sergei Vasilyevich has completely left for the depths of Saratov, to an abandoned village without a name:
— Sergei is now stuck in a godforsaken village. I know where it is, but I don’t want to go there. “He doesn’t have a mobile phone, and I don’t want to go specifically to this village,” the director explained.
Sergei Chelobanov has a beloved woman, Evgenia Grande, and a son, but at the same time he is a free man:
– I was only married once – to Lyudmila. We lived together for more than 20 years. There was a great love in my life – for Alla Pugacheva, and it has not gone away. “I won’t marry again,” the director admitted in a documentary on the TVC channel “The Fate of the Favorite.”
In Balakovo, Sergei Chelobanov is often seen in the company of not only the local singer Zhenya, but also other beauties. Sergei Vasilyevich does not look like a monk, and behaves rather cheekily with the fair sex. Zhenya Grande speaks briefly about her relationship with Chelobanov:
– Everything is very difficult for us.
Zhenya tried to treat Chelobanov for alcohol addiction, and turned to Andrei Malakhov for help, but, alas. Chelobanov did not stop drinking:
— Zhenya was the 1001st person who wanted to cure Sergei Vasilyevich. This list is updated every day. Sergei Chelobanov is unlikely to quit drinking. He is used to drinking, and alcohol brings him pleasure. So he drinks in the village. I don’t know whether he’s alone or with a cheerful company, but he drinks. What else should he do there? – says the director.

After winning a prize on the show “You are a Supestar” in 2007, Chelobanov was again called to TV and invited to the radio. On one of the episodes they showed a story where he rides a cool motorcycle:
— In my youth, I had a dream of becoming a motorcycle rider. I loved motorcycles. But now I can hardly ride an iron horse. The last time it was in the early 90s, admitted Sergei Chelobanov
Sergei Vasilyevich climbed onto the “iron horse” and even started it. But I couldn’t go far. Today Chelobanov has neither a motorcycle, nor a car, nor even a passport. He lives in his mother’s apartment, where he gathers drinking buddies. Lives on money from his songs:
— I not only sing songs, but also write. He wrote a lot for other performers. Royalties for songs help me live comfortably,” the artist admitted.
Sergei Chelobanov made many arrangements for pop stars, in particular for Diana Gurtskaya. But that was a long time ago. At concerts, Chelobanov performs old songs.
