Musical instrument worth 4,600 euros stolen

Frankfurt am Main; Darmstadt (ots) –

The Federal Police Inspectorate in Frankfurt am Main is currently investigating the initial suspicion that a trombone worth 4,600 euros has been stolen.

On Tuesday (22 August), a 49-year-old victim from Frankfurt am Main reported to the federal police and stated that she had already used a regional train from Darmstadt Hbf to Frankfurt am Main Hbf on Sunday (20 August).

When leaving the train at the final stop in Frankfurt am Main, she left her trombone stowed behind the seat. When the woman noticed that the musical instrument was missing, the train was already in the siding.

The 49-year-old then immediately went to the Deutsche Bahn discovery site and employees made contact with the train attendant. But he couldn’t find the trumpet on the train. Since the musical instrument has not yet been handed in to any of the contacted locations, it is assumed that it was theft.

In connection with the ongoing investigations, the Federal Police Inspectorate in Frankfurt am Main is looking for witnesses who can provide relevant information and will accept them by calling 069/130145-1100 or by emailing bpoli.frankfurtm@polizei.bund.de.
