Music, through the body and the mind in a talk-colloquium in Granada

On the afternoon of this Friday, May 20, and within the activities parallel to the concerts of each day at 8:00 p.m. at the Ancient Music Festival, an interesting colloquium conference will be held on how music is received by the body and through the mind. This conference, which is held at 6:00 p.m., obeys the motto of the festival in this VII edition “Light and shadow, the thin line between the opposite”.

In this sense, and thanks to the trajectory of the two speakers, we will be able to get closer to their vision, to how music is received by the mind and body, both its interpretation and its enjoyment. We know that a thin line separates the head from the body, moreover, it may not exist, but it is part of the theme that the festival raises on this occasion. In addition, as the Ancient Music Festival that it is, both the public and the performers love the ancient repertoire, so both speakers will cross another line, another one, and will not only focus on the topic today but also on performers and public in ancient times. .

This will be yet another way of getting closer to the sensitivity and knowledge of the time in which as many repertoires were generated as those performed every May in Granada thanks to the Early Music Festival and the management of Aziz Samasaoui and your team.

the forensic psychologist Gador Villalobos will be in charge of unraveling what music produces in our mind, what effect or what effects and what was thought in past times in this regard. On his side the doctor Alexander Rodriguez, will analyze it from a perspective more focused on physical aspects, sometimes bodily, sometimes cerebral. The meaning of the conference and the spirit of it is disclosure, so its language and approach will be accessible to the public who, not being an expert, feel motivated to learn about this relationship between music and us after all. Admission is free until the capacity of the artistic center.
