Today, the musical and stage legend – the tenor Aron Aronov – died in his sleep, just 3 days after he turned 85 years old. The sad news was announced by his family, quoted by “24 Chasa”.

Aronov, who despite his age was very active on social networks, published on July 12 his photo from the anniversary with the inscription “Happy birthday to me!”. In the photo, the star of the Musical Theater and active music teacher looks in excellent health and mood.

During the 45 years of his creative career, tenor Aron Aronov has played in 975 performances in the role of Edwin from “The Queen of the Chardash” and 134 in the role of Feri Bachi from the same operetta. His incarnations in the roles of Danilo from “The Merry Widow” are numerous; Count Tassilo from “Countess Maritza”; Adam from The Birdman; Eisenstein, Falke and Alfred from “The Bat”; Barinkai and Homonai from “Gypsy Baron”; Paris, Achilles and Calchas from “The Fair Helen”; Paganini from “Paganini”. His character of Su Chong in “Land of Smiles” has been talked about for decades.

His repertoire also includes the central roles of “The Pansy of Montmartre”, “The Prince of Madrid”, “Pericola”, “The Beautiful Galatea”, “Andalusia”, “Orpheus in Hell”, “Knight Bluebeard” and many others.

He does not remain obliged to the Bulgarian titles either, where he performs the roles of Mladen and Minko from “The Rebel Song” (G. Z. Cherkin), Kir Spiridone from “The Knight”, Ilia from “Mad Gidiya” (P. Hadjiev), The Scholar from ” The Shadow” (V. Raichev).

For the roles of Spoletta from “Tosca”, Abbat from “Andre Chenier”, Pang from “Turandot”, Ruitz from “The Troubadour”, Normano from “Lucia di Lammermoor”, Ovlur from “Prince Igor”, a third Jew from “Salome” is called “The king of the small role”.
