The opening of this month will be marked by the play ‘Cinco horas con Mario’, a performance by Emilia Alcalá, in collaboration with Carlos Marcet, in which a journey through the life of a frustration-laden post-war woman will be made and prejudices.
This event will take place on Saturday, June 5, at 8:00 p.m. Tickets will cost four euros and members of the complex itself will be able to collect their tickets at the Foundation’s headquarters.
On Tuesday, June 8, at the same time, the XVIII Alcarreña Short Film Show will take place, presented by Marta Marco.
In this event, you can enjoy cinematographic works such as ‘Inama’ by José Daniel García or ‘Las escobas son para volar’ by Rebeca Sánchez and the Guadalajara Feminist Platform. Added to this list are ‘Tours’ by Elvira Ongil and Inma Haro; ‘Molina dor, Vacation City’ by El Hombre Tardío; ‘Batman y Robin’ by Susana Martínez; ‘The house’ by Miguel Ángel Langa, and ‘Fescigu 2020: A festival on wheels’ by Luis Moreno.
For this meeting organized by the Cine Club Alcarreño, the entrance with invitation will be for all the public and can be purchased at the theater box office.
The theatrical play ‘Smart Lies’ by Joe Dipietro, directed by Raquel Perez, will star on Friday afternoon, June 11, starting at 8:00 p.m. This representation will feature the presence of actors such as Maria Luisa Merlo, José Cisneros, Javier Pradera and Ana Escribano. Tickets for this event will cost 12 and 15 euros.
The Buero Vallejo Theater has also chosen to add some concerts to the lineup, for this it has had the musical group Ciudad Jara that will fill the complex with music with ‘Oxide in the Buero’ on Saturday, June 19, from 8:00 p.m. .
To close this month full of culture, the Siglo Futuro Foundation has organized the XXIX Flamenco Summit. A recital of flamenco song, touch and dance by the vocalists Vicente Soto ‘Sordera’ and Lela Soto ‘Sordera’, together with the guitarist Antonio Carrión.
The blood and race dance company, together with the choreographer Juan Manuel Prieto, will accompany this act of Spanish and flamenco dance in all its aspects. This concert will take place on Friday, June 25, at 7:30 p.m. and tickets will cost four euros.
