The artist from Roche won the Graffiti 2021 awards, she was the main winner, with six aerosols conquered in total.
The recognition is for their work Because I want to sing them all: a tribute to the Rochense song, album edited by Bizarro in which Florencia reverses Rocha’s songbook.
The singer-songwriter, who also debuted with this project as a documentary maker, won Best Album of the year; Best album of popular music and urban song; Producer of the Year, along with Guillermo Berta and Nicolás Molina; Best female soloist; and Best song of Uruguayan popular music and Best song of the year, for “Contigo y en el palmar”, his version of the Gabriel Núñez Rotulo song.
Because I want to sing them all is a tribute to the music of his department through the re-version and interpretation of six songs that marked his songbook. These pieces accompany the feature film that premiered on August 5, in which you can see their conversations with authors, interpreters or actors of the Rochense scene who were witnesses or protagonists of the construction of the popular songbook.
