Famous music observer Leo goods died at the age of 69 years, Monday (29/11), after battling Covid-19 which he suffered for the last few days at Fatmawati Hospital, South Jakarta.
“Has returned peacefully to the house of the Father in heaven. Our beloved husband/Papa/Sister/Om/ ‘Papa Ben’… Benedictus Benny Hadi Utomo (Bens Leo) at the age of 69 years, on Monday, November 29, 2021 at 08.24 WIB at Fatmawati Hospital, Jakarta,” reads the family statement received CNNIndonesia.com, Monday (29/11).
Through the statement, the family appealed to the community to open the door to apologize for all the mistakes of the deceased during his life.
“Without reducing our gratitude for the attention and respect given, in order to maintain the privacy of the nuclear family and obey the Covid-19 health protocols,” the family said in a statement.
“We ask the extended family, friends, and friends to take him to his final resting place with prayers from their homes.,” he continued.
Bens Leo leaves a wife named Pauline Endang Praptini and a child named Addo Gustaf Putera. The statement also included a number of Bens Leo’s bereaved families, namely two older brothers and nine nieces and nephews.
The news of Bens Leo’s death was also revealed by journalist and music observer Adib Hidayat. Through Adib’s statement, the news of Bens Leo’s death was informed by the late wife, Pauline, on Monday (29/11) morning.
“Goodbye Mas Bens Leo. We have lost an irreplaceable journalist and observer of Indonesian music,” said Adib.
On Saturday (27/11), Adib had reported that Bens Leo’s condition had been critical and had been treated at Fatmawati Hospital since Monday (22/11) due to Covid-19.
