For the “The BossHoss” band members, this summer means touring instead of going on vacation.
“Now we haven’t played a tour for two and a half years, so the lack of vacation is no problem at all – we’re happy to accept that,” said one of the front singers, Sascha “Hoss Power” Vollmer (50), on Wednesday in Berlin on the sidelines of a rehearsal for the upcoming tour.
Due to the compulsory Corona break, the band had more time than ever to make new music, said the second front singer Alec “Boss Burns” Völkel (50). The band used this time to write the new album “Electric Horsemen”, which should be released in spring 2023.
On the tour, which begins on June 30, “The BossHoss” will mainly play old songs from the previous “Black is beautiful” album from 2018. Because this tour has been postponed again and again. The anticipation is therefore particularly great: “After such a long forced break, it feels like a liberation. We have never been so happy to go on stage as we are now,” said Völkel.
In recent years, the two front singers have appeared again and again in TV formats such as the music talent show “The Voice of Germany” or the Sat.1 show “The Mole”.
