LOS ANGELES, Mar 3 (CulturaOcio – Raquel Laguna) –
Mexican actress and singer Danna Paola participates in the film Raya and the last dragon, directed by Don Hall and Carlos López Estrada. The young woman performs the song Until overcoming and also gives voice to the protagonist, Raya, in the Latin American Spanish version of the film. The animation film opens this Friday, March 5, in theaters and on Disney + through premium access at an additional cost.
“I believe that life without music is not life. For me it is what saved me from everything, in many ways. Not just in 2020, but in my life. Since I started composing my own songs, it has helped me to drain a lot, it has been my therapy completely, “says Danna Paola.
At 25 years old, the young woman has become one of the most outstanding singers and actresses of recent times. It is not the first time that the artist lends her voice to an animated character, since it was Rapunzel in the Spanish version for Latin America of the movie Enredados.
Now, this new collaboration project with Disney has been an unforgettable experience for Danna, who says that doubling the character of Raya has been very positive for her personal growth. In his opinion, one of the main messages of Raya and the Last Dragon has to do with trust.
“First you have to trust yourself, to also be able to trust what is around you, in the challenges that life brings us, “says the Elite actress.
The Mexican feels completely fulfilled when she puts into practice all her creative facets. “Creating art fills me. For me, enjoying each of the things I do is what fulfills me. For example, a lot of people don’t know it, but I love cooking and I really enjoy it. In this pandemic I dedicated myself to cooking a lot. I also really enjoy composing“, he says.
Danna Paola tells us that she is preparing a series of musical projects with Spanish artists and also confesses that she would like to work with the actress Blanca Suárez. “Now I have several musical collaborations on my doorstep that excite me a lot, with singers who live in Madrid. Actually, I would love to work with Blanca Suárez, I admire her a lot“, says the interpreter.

Raya and the last dragon takes audiences to the fantasy world of Kumandra, where humans and dragons lived together long ago in perfect harmony. But when Evil forces threatened the territory, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity.
Now, 500 years later, those same evil forces have returned and Raya, a lone warrior, will have to find the last and legendary dragon to rebuild a destroyed world and reunite her people. However, throughout your adventure, you will understand that it takes more than just a dragon’s magic to save the world – you’ll also need self-confidence and teamwork.
