German Choir Festival in Leipzig begins

Children’s choirs, male choirs, choirs – choirs of all kinds can be experienced at the German Choir Festival in Leipzig from today. According to the organizers, around 9,500 singers come to the festival. More than 500 concerts are in the jam-packed schedule until Sunday. Admission to most of them is free. The choir festival will open on Thursday (3 p.m.) on an open-air stage on Leipzig’s market square. Actually, it should have been held in 2020, but was postponed to this year due to the corona pandemic.
