On the eve of the 250th anniversary of the death of two of the genius French composers, for the first time in Bulgaria, arias for counterpoint (a specific type of tenor characteristic of the French Baroque) will be performed from the most famous operas of Jean-Marie Leclerc and Jean-Philippe Rameau . Among them are the famous Air pour les Sauvages, the violin concerto in D major and the flute concerto in C major, arias for haute-contre from the operas “Platea”, “Castor and Pollux” with one of the most sought-after tenors for the French baroque repertoire Anders Dalin (Sweden), who with his unique voice is the perfect choice for this repertoire on the big European stages.
The international ensemble Les Ambassadeurs will not only accompany the soloist, but also perform
the French instrumental music of Rameau’s time with violin concertos and flute traverso by Leclerc performed by Zefira Valova and Alexi Kosenko.
