The music festival will be exceptional this Tuesday, June 21. It will extend over a length of 5 km between Lyon and Villeurbanne. A great first which promises to be festive as never before after two long years disrupted by the Covid-19 epidemic.
Traffic and parking conditions will therefore be turned upside down during this day like no other.
The Terreaux and Louis-Pradel sector blocked from 6 p.m.
From 6 p.m. to midnight, it will be forbidden to drive in all the streets adjacent to Place des Terreaux and Place Louis-Pradel, in the 1st arrondissement.
From 6 p.m., no vehicle will be authorized to circulate in the area, except those of the security and emergency services. Parking in public spaces or in private car parks will be impossible.
Traffic prohibited in these streets of the 6th
From 2 p.m. to 2 a.m., traffic will be prohibited from Avenue Thiers to Place du Maréchal-Lyautey. No vehicles will be allowed to circulate, except those of the security and emergency services. Again, it will not be possible to park in the public space or in the private car parks.
Moreover, parking will be strictly prohibited on this same perimeter, from June 21 from 5 a.m. to midnight. Even bicycles are affected. It will therefore be necessary to anticipate and organize differently the day before the music festival.

–Cours Emile-Zola closed in Villeurbanne
In Villeurbanne, from 6 p.m. to midnight on June 21, amateur musicians are invited to take over the Cours Emile-Zola, which is closed for this giant music festival. Students and teachers from the National School of Music will also be there.
A thousand tables and benches will be set up to allow residents to share the dishes and drinks they have brought, “in the spirit of the neighbors’ party”, indicates the Municipality.
This will lead to significant traffic and parking restrictions in the streets of Villeurbanne.
–Avoid exit 8 “porte de Cusset” from the ring road
The Emile-Zola course will be prohibited from parking from June 20 at 8 a.m. to June 22 at 3 a.m.. It will be closed to traffic on June 21 from 1 p.m. to 2 a.m. Moving will be prohibited all day. The north and south ramps at exit 8 “porte de Cusset” of the ring road will be closed from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
