District of Kassel. Refugee children and young people from the Ukraine have found a new place of learning in the music schools in the district of Kassel. The five music schools in the region receive 10,000 euros for cultural education from the initiative “SV helps! Ukraine Campaign” from SV SparkassenVersicherung. “As a result, numerous Ukrainian refugees are offered lessons,” emphasize District Administrator Andreas Siebert and Ralph Eisenhauer, board member of SV SparkassenVersicherung, and emphasize the commitment of the music schools.
Many young talents have already received music funding in their home country. Through the integration into existing music school offers, new connections can be made. “Music always manages to touch and unite, nationality doesn’t matter. Our music schools take on a special function in refugee aid and offer the refugees an opportunity to integrate,” emphasizes District Administrator Siebert.
“The initiatives of the music schools offer families from the Ukraine new opportunities to get in touch with like-minded people and, above all, with music. This is how social participation in cultural life can work and the SV would like to support this with its commitment,” says Eisenhauer with a look to the donation.
