Music and gastronomy for happiness

Pikes Ibiza is much more than the mythical establishment where rock stars stayed, much more than the island’s temple of hedonism, with that pool of wishes to dive into the pleasure of living. Pikes is more than that icon forged in the 70s and 80s, that magical enclave for Freddie Mercury where the most imaginative parties on the island were held … Pikes is all that and much more, because that essence and that feeling of being in a legendary place is not only preserved today but is enriched by the new experiences proposed by Dawn Hindle and Andy McKay, which have infused all rooms and gardens with art and imagination. It can well be said that Pikes is today a work of art in itself, a fascinating corner near Sant Antoni that has been cataloged by Sunday Times Travel as “one of the hundred best places in the world”.

This international award also recognizes the gastronomic offerings of Pamelas, Pikes’ flagship restaurant, which opened last year and is led by famed Welsh chef Lee Milne, who prepares a surprising, heavenly menu. Open for dinner from Monday to Saturday, it is one of the most original and sophisticated proposals of the season, both for its innovative menu and for that seventies atmosphere brimming with rock & roll atmosphere.

But also the music, substantial in Pikes, is much more than rock, as evidenced on Tuesday nights with Paco Fernández’s chill flamenco (starting next week, in a series of six exclusive nights) and on Saturdays with Pizza 4 Brkfts, the jazz band led by the Ibizan producer and composer Pere Navarro.

And Pamelas could not miss a night for the opera either, with the expected performance, on July 29, of the British tenor David Wells, one of the most versatile singers of his generation. He has stood out for his operatic roles in the most famous auditoriums in the world, in addition to his massive performances such as the one he starred in at Wembley Stadium for the FA Cup final or for Queen Elizabeth II at the Royal Albert Hall.

Another important novelty for this season at Pikes is the Love Food Ibiza Brunch, open daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., by chef Tess Prince, who presents a gastronomic, nutritious and delicious proposal and also features music from resident DJ Camilo. On Thursdays, brunch is held in collaboration with Vodka Elyx and guests have a complimentary cocktail.

Whether it’s a tempting casual lunch with Love Food Ibiza or a more sophisticated dinner at Pamelas, Pikes offers a space for hedonism that opens daily with music from 11am until closing time and various outdoor settings. In this daily musical program, events such as the Pikes House Party, Flashlite, Tenax Take Over, Cosmic Pineapple, the aforementioned Paco Fernández Presents and Sundays at Pikes on Sundays, with roast beef and music by The Grim Brothers from 12 noon.

Magnificent atmosphere, good music, fine cuisine, crazy cocktails and all the charm of the most original hotel in Ibiza, open daily for residents and tourists looking for vibrant experiences. Who gives more?
