The fourth Jump Festival will take place on August 17th in the youth center. The event was organized by the young people themselves.

Verden – The Verden Youth Center and the Youth Work Network invite you to the new edition of the Jump Festival on Saturday, August 17th, from 5 p.m. to midnight. Music and fun with several DJs and live acts are the focus again this time. Admission is free.

Unlike 2016, 2018 and 2022, the fourth JumpFestival this year will not take place in the Allerpark, but in the youth center on Lindhooper Straße. “We want to alternate between celebrating inside and outside in the garden,” says the director of the youth center, Simone Köppen.

One thing has not changed, however: as before, the young people are closely involved in the planning and organization of the festival. They chose the music together, thought about the supporting program, did the advertising and took care of the catering for the artists on the day of the festival. Young people from the HSG Verden-Aller handball club sell drinks, for example there are non-alcoholic cocktails.

Including artists on stage

The festival will be opened by the inclusive band “Hau Drauf” from the Lebenshilfe Verden leisure service. Rapper Vero from Berlin, a newcomer who is currently enjoying great success, will also perform. DJ Sinah from Jena is part of the feminist collective Women of Techno. Women from Thuringia and Saxony have joined forces to support themselves and other female DJs and to bring more women onto the stages of the region’s clubs. DJ Nu Tronic comes from Walsrode and works with vinyl records. Another DJ is 50Svent.

At the end of the festival, Stunnah & DJ Genzo from Bremen will heat things up once again. Stunnah’s music is characterized by a special blend of drum & bass and dubstep subculture with mainstream influences. Stunnah raps his intelligent double-time bars over it with a powerful vocal presence that is vaguely reminiscent of Casper.

“It is a festival by young people for young people. What counts on this day is the fun of music. Unfortunately, there are not many events for young people in Verden,” says Vivien Prange from the organizing team. The team is hoping for lots of visitors to the youth center.
