The producer of “Tutas things” “AUSMA” has created a new musical program for preschool children “Ukulele”. The short-format video series will be available on TV3 and TV3 Mini from April 2 this year, but from April 15 they will be available on Tet +, and later on individual episodes on YouTube, the creators informed in a press release.
The new children’s program “Ukulele” in a series of about five minutes will allow the youngest viewers to get to know the wonderful world of music at an early age and learn a clear and correct Latvian language. The show will feature two charming heroes – musical, resourceful and kind-hearted Uku and Lele. Latvian National Theater actor Uldis Siliņš has taken on the role of Uku, while singer Annija Putniņa plays Leli. Both friends will be joined in their musical space or ukulele by the image of 3D animation – the lovely Dieziņš, who will try to explore the world, moving along with the rhythm of music and constantly asking questions: “Hardly why …?”
Marta Selecka, the director of the producer “AUSMA” and the author and director of the idea of “Ukulele”, says: “Latvia has always lacked quality content for small viewers, whose everyday life nowadays goes to different screens. We wanted to create the best content possible for babies! Our main condition was that the show should be musical and include 3D animation. Thanks to an excellent team – talented musicians, actors, teachers and a professional film crew, together we have created an artistically high-quality, modern, loving and musical audiovisual format. ” Until now, the producer “AUSMA” has created such children’s favorite programs and series as “Tuta things”, “Emi and Roo”, “Edge tricks”.
In each of the 20 series of the first season of “Ukulele”, children together with Uku and Leli will be able to make music, sing and learn new songs related to the “themes” in the series – ball, wind, sleep, teeth, dog, etc. The program will feature original songs the author is the composer Laura Polence, but the authors of the names are Edvards Kuks, Elizabete Lukšo-Ražinska and Inga Mastiņa. Songs and folk songs already familiar to children’s parents, arranged by musician Raimonds Petrauskis, will also be performed in “Ukulele”. “Ukulele” sound recordings use a variety of musical instruments: piano, xylophone, metallophone, bells, flute, guitar, ukulele, percussion, etc.
“Ukulele” was created in cooperation with the producer of the children’s favorite program “Tutas things” “AUSMA” and the local content producer of the technology and entertainment company Tet Tet studio, as well as the media group TV3 Group.
