Mushukuk will remain in the Czech 1st League club next season as well

Latvian goalkeeper Ervīns Muštukovs will also guard the goal of the second Czech league club Ostrava-Poruba “RT Torax” next season, the club reports on its website.

Thus, Mushukukov will have his second season in the ranks of the Czech unit. “We are glad that the current number one goalkeeper Muštukovs will continue to play in the club,” the club confirms on its website. The club also reports that Jirži Shejba, who became the world champion in the Czechoslovak team in 1985, will take over the position of head coach in the new season.

Last season, the 37-year-old goalkeeper rebounded 91.6 percent in 25 games in the main event and conceded an average of 2.38 puck in his goal, helping the team celebrate 15 victories. In the playoffs, he went on the field four times, averaging 1.41 puck in his own goal, repelling 95.4% of the throws and celebrating victory in all four fights.

In the RT Torax main tournament, he took sixth place among 18 teams, but in the playoffs he won two rounds, conceding 0-4 in the semifinals to the later winner Kladno “Rytiri” with Czech legend Jaromir Jāgru. Muštukovs went to the Czech Republic as the winner of the main tournament of the Latvian 2019/2020 season championship in the ranks of the Riga “Olimp” team.

The club goalkeeper is also active in the 2015 World Cup in Prague against Canada, and has a rich playing experience in various foreign countries. Mushukuk started his career 21 seasons ago in the Riga “NIK’S-Brih” team, but during his hockey goalkeeping he played in several ocean hockey leagues in the USA and Canada, as well as in England, Denmark, Sweden and France. He has played 16 games for the Latvian national team, in which he has scored an average of 2.49 discs in his goal. The goalkeeper has been a reservist at the Olympics in Vancouver and Sochi, and has won a Danish silver medal among other achievements.
