The MUHNES and the Bat Conservation Program of El Salvador (PCMES) will give the recreational workshop “Bats, Guardians of the Earth”, on Sunday, April 28, at 1:30 pm
Registration is open at the link https://forms.gle/Byek3b9dMa9s49FK8.
“This fun workshop is aimed at children who want to learn about this type of mammal and make a paper model of a bat to take home,” said MUHNES director Jenny Menjívar.
Like most mammals, including humans, bats have fur, grow in the womb, are born and feed on breast milk, although they belong to a special group of flying mammals called bats.
The word bat comes from Greek and means “winged hand”, since they fly thanks to a modified hand. The smallest of this species are capable of catching up to 600 mosquitoes in an hour.
The MUHNES is located inside the Saburo Hirao Park, at the end of Los Viveros Street, in the Nicaragua neighborhood. San Salvador.
