Musetti beat the American in two sets Ben Shelton, number 17 in the world, by 6-4 7-6(5). The 22 year old from Carrara will face the Spaniard in the round of 16 Carlos Alcaraz, number 2 in the world, ahead 2-1 in the previous matches. The match is scheduled no earlier than 8.30pm Italian time at Centrale (the Stadium). Musetti won the first match on the major circuit, the final of the Hamburg 2022 tournament.
