Muscat: The Science, Technology and Innovation Fair (STAI) organized by the Muscat Indian School Board will be held on September 8. Chairman of Board of Directors of Indian School Dr. Sivakumar Manickam said that more than 7000 students will participate in the fair where Mobilela Indian School will be the venue.
Dr. Sivakumar Manickam said in a press conference that global child prodigy and world’s youngest professor Soborno Isaac Barry will arrive in Muscat from New York to participate in the Science, Technology and Innovation (STAI) fair. Indian Ambassador to Oman Amit Narang will inaugurate the two-day fair.
Chairman Dr. Sivakumar Manickam also reminded that on the weekends of September 8th and 9th, students and their parents can visit the programs organized at the venue from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The chairman said that the presence of students and guardians of 21 schools working under Muskrat Indian School Board is expected in the fair.
Organized under the theme ‘Empowered to Innovate’, the Science, Technology and Innovation Fair is also a platform to identify talented students from Indian schools across Oman and promote student talent. The fair is held in three categories namely sub-junior, junior and senior.
More than eight hundred students have already registered to participate in various competitions. Apart from this, about ten thousand students have registered for the science wizard competitive exam, the officials informed in the press conference. Senior Principal and Indian School Board Educational Adviser Vinoba MP, Mobela Indian School Principal Prabhakar .P, School Director Board Vice Chairman Shameer PTK, Board Finance Director Ashwini Savrikar, Indian School Al Mabela Director-in-Charge Krishnaendu S were present at the press conference. , Syed Salman, President of Indian School Al Mabela SMC Shamim were also present.
