There has been a change in the education committee in Spiez. Muriel Salvisberg has been the new SP representative since August 1st. The local council has also approved an increase in the fees for the toy library.

The previous SP representative Barbara Feuz has resigned at the end of July, the municipality wrote in a statement. She had been on the education committee since September 2020. Her current term of office runs until the end of March 2025. Muriel Salvisberg has now been elected as her successor as of August 1.
Increase in contributions for toy library
The municipal council has approved a new service agreement with the Spiez toy library with reservations. Since 2021, contributions and services between the municipality and the toy library have been regulated in a service agreement. This previously provided for an annual operating contribution of 40,000 francs. There is now a new service agreement for the new contribution period from 2025 to 2028; this increases the municipality’s annual operating contribution by 10,000 francs. This means that the toy library will now receive 50,000 francs per year. Approval is subject to Article 47, paragraph five of the municipal regulations.
