Pablo Antonio, 24, died of an assault when he was in his car outside a convenience store in the Burgos neighborhood of the municipality of Temixco, Morelos, but thanks to the altruism of the family and medical specialists from the IMSS, the young man saved the lives of 106 patients with the donation of his organs.
Last weekend, around 10:00 p.m., the emergency services reported that the young Pablo Antonio, who was working as an aviator pilot, had been shot in the abdomen when a subject who wanted to assault him struggled with him and injured; wounded, he was taken to the hospital where he died shortly after.
However, at the number one Regional General Hospital of the IMSS in Cuernavaca, the multi-organ procurement was performed, that is, the heart, liver, two kidneys and two corneas, as well as the skin and skeletal muscle tissue, of the young man, as he presented edema Severe cerebral, therefore, his family authorized the donation, which gave the opportunity to live more people.
IMSS authorities reported that the heart was transferred to the High Specialty Medical Unit (UMAE), General Hospital; the liver to the Hospital de Especialidades both of the National Medical Center “La Raza”.
Meanwhile, the kidneys and corneas were sent to the UMAE, Hospital de Especialidades of the Centro Médico Nacional Siglo XXI of the IMSS; the skeletal muscle tissue and the skin will be processed in the Tissue Bank of the State of Mexico, which will benefit more than a hundred people.
Pablo Antonio was fired by all the staff before entering surgery with a human fence who gave him applause, while a medical intern from social service read the message written by the young man’s mother.
In turn, the director of Clinic 1 of Plan de Ayala, Delia Gamboa Guerrero, thanked the young man’s family while urging the population to promote the culture of donation and, in this way, give life after the lifetime.
He reported that the procedure was carried out under strict biosafety guidelines, which guarantees to avoid COVID-19 infections in recipients and health personnel.

This Saturday, neighbors, relatives and friends of Pablo Antonio will march in protest at the murder of the young pilot, at 10:00 am in the main roundabout of the Burgos Fraccionamiento, so that the State Attorney General’s Office can find those responsible for the homicide.
Yesterday, the head of the State Security Commission (CES), José Antonio Ortíz Guarneros, reported that they have already identified one of the vehicles of the alleged perpetrators of the murder of the young man, with the support of the surveillance cameras of the store and the He once assured that they collaborate with the FGE in the investigations.
“We are providing all the elements of the investigation to find those responsible, we do not want it to go unpunished, we are outraged, but we are also providing information to the prosecution and working hand in hand,” he concluded.
