Duck rice seller in Sidoarjo killed by his own cousin. Seeing the victim dead, the perpetrator was afraid and had time to perform a ritual so that the victim would live again.
The perpetrator was Rully Irwansyah (23), a resident of Tuban who is a boarding house in Rangkah Kidul Village, Sidoarjo City District. Meanwhile, the victim was Ahmad Mukiyin (23), a resident of Tuban.
Sidoarjo Police Chief Kombes Kusumo Wahyu Bintoro said the duck rice seller whose body was found in Buncitan Village was a murder victim. The victim died because he was force-fed with alcohol mixed with potassium powder and floor cleaning powder.
“According to the story of the perpetrator, after seeing the victim dead, the perpetrator performed a ritual so that the body would come back to life,” said Kusumo at the Sidoarjo Police Headquarters, reported detikJatimMonday (7/8/2023).
Kusumo explained, seeing the victim convulsing, the perpetrator began to get confused. The perpetrator then covered the victim with his jacket. Then the perpetrator bought the setaman flower to perform a ritual so that the victim would come back to life.
“The setaman flower is placed in a bucket and given water, after mixing it is poured on the victim’s body,” explained Kusumo.
Kusumo added, because the ritual failed, the confused perpetrator ran away with the victim’s valuables, including a motorbike, cellphoneand cash.
“The perpetrator left the victim and locked the victim’s rented house from the outside,” said Kusumo.
