“Murder Party”, walk through historical crime scenes of the Viennese police, etc. : Vienna will receive an Ink Blood this weekend

It’s an understatement to say that fans of the genre were looking forward to this weekend.

Under the leadership of the Viennese thriller writer François Joly, the MJC in Vienna is organizing its major annual event “Sang d’Encre” throughout this weekend of November 26 and 27, in the riding hall of the Espace Saint-Germain.

This will be the 28th Detective Literature Day.

There will obviously be many thriller writers from all over France, about sixty in total, including some thriller stars like Olivier Truc, Franck Thilliez, Boris Golzio, even Patricia Tourangeau and many others. The vast majority are welcomed in the stands of the three independent bookstores of the city: Lucioles, Passerelles and Bulles de Vienne (BD).

Finally, still on the book front, the show will obviously be punctuated, on Saturday at 6pm, by the various “Sang d’Encre” awards.

But that’s not all, inspired by “speed-dating”, the “Speed-Polar” will allow you to meet in a privileged way at the Polar Club; and this, in all privacy, in all privacy, a dozen authors. Times are listed on the sang d’encre website (pff below).

Like last year, the Salle des Manège is equipped with its lounge area, of course, but also with its bleachers and stage to host conferences and events around the thriller. You can also have a drink at the “Café Polar”.

Some moments will be stronger than others, like at the crime scene.

Thus, a “murder party” is organized on Friday 25 November at 20:00 at the MJC in Vienna.

His theme: “Murder during the shooting.” You will meet the suspects, check their alibis and confront their motivations to unmask the killer or killers. Thrills guaranteed!

Another activity proposed on Saturday and Sunday in collaboration with the Lyon Police History Society: a walk to discover the historic center of Vienne “in the historical footsteps of the Viennese police”.

This original route will be supervised by former policeman Patrick Salotti: it includes fifteen stages, including some historic crime scenes that have marked the criminal history of the city…

-“Sang d’Encre”: Saturday 26 November, from 2.30pm to 7pm and Sunday 27 November, from 10am to 5pm, riding hall of the Espace Saint-Germain in Vienna. Free price (give what you want).
