In 2019, the world had the first chance to experience Obsidian’s latest RPG: The Outer World. The game was well received by critics and so too with us. Of course it didn’t stop there and the game released its first DLC: Peril on Gorgon in September. A few months later it is the turn of the second DLC for the fascinating game: Murder on Eridanos. Boris and Koos have played the DLC, and can’t wait to talk about it with you. This is The Outer Worlds: Murder on Eridanos Review.
Murder on Eridanos: a detective story
Unlike The Outer Worlds itself, Murder on Eridanos is a detective story. The player has been hired to solve the murder of the well-known actress Ruth Bellamy, also known as Halcyon Helen. You do this on, as the name of the DLC already mentioned, Eridanos. On Eridanos you will find multiple potential perpetrators and it is ultimately up to you, as a real detective, to find out who actually committed this gruesome murder. Do you have what it takes to solve this murder? And does this DLC also deliver a good gaming experience? Boris and Koos tell that in this review.
A nice addition to an already good game?
With DLC, the question is always whether they can do the actual game justice. Some games get DLC that adds little to the gaming experience and some games get DLC that delivers a whole new experience. The Outer Worlds hosted Peril on Gorgon last year. A DLC that was generally well received. Does Murder on Eridanos have the same quality? Does it extend your stay in the wonderful world that Obisidian has managed to create? You hear it from Boris and Koos in the Murder on Eridanos Review.
