The incident dates back to when Major General Hossam Tawfiq, Director of Damietta Security, received a report stating that the decomposed body of a child who had disappeared 8 years ago was found in the village of Kafr Al-Arab, affiliated to the Faraskour Center in Damietta Governorate.
Immediately, a research team was formed headed by Major General Mohamed Anan, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department in Damietta, who moved to the scene of the incident and instructed him to intensify efforts to uncover the circumstances of the case.
