Murder of a 4-year-old boy in Haskovo vrach on Christmas Eve. A 47-year-old man was arrested for beating to death the son of the woman he lived with in the family. She too is beaten by the man. She was hospitalized without danger to her life, reports the bTV correspondent in the region.
Police were alerted by a pediatrician on duty at around 3:15 that night. He reported that a dead baby had been taken to the emergency room of the city hospital. The police teams that arrived at the scene found signs of violence on his body.
During the investigation, it was established that on December 24, the 4-year-old boy was beaten, as a result of which he sustained serious injuries which led to his death.
The prisoner is the child’s stepfather. The beating took place in a house in the “Republika” district of Haskovo, owned by the man.
The man and the woman have two other children who live with their mother. The man was released from prison a few months ago, where he was being held for drugs. He was unemployed, as was the woman.
The Haskovo District Prosecutor’s Office has initiated preliminary proceedings. The man is to be charged and then detained for up to 72 hours.
