Murder Investigation: Two Women in Custody After Body Found in Paris Hotel

The lifeless body of a forty-year-old woman was discovered in a hotel in the 17th arrondissement for an employee. “A deep wound in the carotid artery” was noted, and two women from his “entourage” were placed in police custody.

Two women are currently in police custody, in the investigation into the murder of another woman, found lifeless on Saturday in a hotel in the capital, the Paris prosecutor’s office said on Monday, January 15, confirming information from the Parisian.

According to the public prosecutor, these two suspects are part of “the entourage of the victim” born in 1980.

She had been a customer for almost a week at this hotel located between Porte de Clichy and Clichy-Batignolles park in the northwest of Paris, a police source said on Sunday.

His body presented “a deep wound in the carotid artery” with “unexplained” causes, according to a police source and the prosecution.

The victim also had what looked like “marks of defense” on his arm, the police source added. Blood was on his t-shirt and on his bed, as well as on towels in the bathroom, the same source said, but no “sharp objects” were found in the room. His autopsy is due to be carried out on Monday.

It was a hotel employee who came to clean the victim’s room who discovered his body, lying face down on the bed.

The woman had arrived at the hotel at the same time as a man, initially installed in the room next door, detailed the police source. According to the first elements of the investigations, this man left the hotel on Saturday morning around 6:30 a.m., a few hours before the discovery of the body. The prosecution did not wish to specify whether the man had been arrested or not.

Two other women, linked to this man and staying in other rooms in the establishment, had also left the hotel late Saturday morning. According to Le Parisien, it is these women, aged 27 and 37, who were arrested at Roissy airport and placed in police custody.
