A military serviceman, who is suspected of killing a teenager at the Kyiv funicular station, is being held in a pre-trial detention center.

This was reported to the State Security Department, where the suspect worked as a driver.

“We officially inform you that the suspect is in pre-trial detention, the Department of State Security cooperates with the investigation as much as possible and does not exonerate the serviceman under any circumstances.” – the message says.

UDO urged to avoid spreading unreliable and unverified information. Earlier, the agency announced that it had launched an internal official investigation into the incident.

We will remind, on February 7, a conflict between a man and a group of minors took place at the station of the Kyiv funicular. During the conflict, the man pushed the 17-year-old boy against the panoramic glass, he fell and received fatal neck cuts.

The State Bureau of Investigation informed the serviceman of suspicion of intentional murder. Yesterday, it was reported that the question of choosing a preventive measure for him was being resolved, at the same time it was written in social networks that the suspect had been released.
