Murder in Milan, elderly man killed with a chainsaw: alleged killer taken – Chronicle

It would have a name and a face the murderer of Pierantonio Secondi, the elder of 82 years old killed last night in his apartment on the seventh floor of a condominium in via Giulio Romano, in the Porta Romana area. The carabinieri have tracked down the man inside a pharmacy of Melegnano where he works. The alleged murderer was then placed under interrogation by the prosecutor Elio Ramondini. The heinous crime was discovered yesterday evening, Monday 6 December, shortly after 21 by the police who had been alerted by the neighbors. Some of them, in fact, had been alarmed by suspicious noises and also by the presence of smoke. Which, it turned out later, would have resulted from using the chainsaw on the steel of the apartment door. The killer, in fact, would have used a chainsaw – the tool was later found on the floor of the apartment by the investigators together with two kitchen knives, all three tools were also used to hit the elderly man to death – to drill the door of the apartment and enter the house. Once he found himself in front of the 82-year-old, the killer would then attack him, hitting him to death.

The man tracked down to the pharmacy is the former partner, a 35-year-old Romanian, by Pierantonio Secondi. The young man had been reached in October by a ban on approaching the elderly and in these days the ban had also been extended to the elderly’s family: the 35-year-old could not even get close to Secondi’s relatives. Before going up to the apartment on the seventh floor, the 35-year-old had left some e-mails in the building’s concierge in which he had retraced the main moments of the love story that had tied him to the elderly.

From what emerged from the interrogation this morning, the 35-year-old he had with him a trolley with a hatchet inside. The motive at this point could be that of revenge, since the man would also have tried to burn a carpet inside the apartment. The whole assault, according to the images of the video surveillance cameras, would have lasted about 9 minutes. The alleged murderer left a jacket with his cell phone in the victim’s apartment and probably wandered all night before being tracked down near a pharmacy in Melegnano where he worked as a warehouse keeper. It was in Melegnano that the man lived separately at home with his wife and son.
