The murder took place in Koja, North Jakarta. This incident left one man dead and another man injured. It is known that three people were involved in the murder.
The police managed to arrest two of the three perpetrators of the murder. One other perpetrator is still at large. Check out the full information below.
North Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Gidion Arif Setyawan said that the attack on two men which resulted in the death of one person in Koja, North Jakarta, was preceded by a warning because the perpetrator was driving a motorcycle.
The moment the victims RA died and the OS survivors reprimanded the perpetrators occurred in front of the grocery store. At that time the two victims were buying cigarettes and were disturbed by the noise coming from the motorcycle exhaust of the PA and IC perpetrators.
“Around 04.00 WIB, the victims were hanging out from the Kemayoran area in tandem on motorbikes. Then when they passed the TKP, the victims stopped to buy cigarettes at a grocery shop,” he said.
“While he was sitting across from the stall, the perpetrators came on a motorbike. Then the victim OS reprimanded the three people because they had been riding motorbikes,” added Gidion.
Because they did not accept being reprimanded and the argument continued, the perpetrators ganged up on the victim OS. RA victims who saw what happened tried to intervene, but instead became targets.
“However, the three people did not accept being reprimanded by the victim, who then ganged up on the victim,” explained Gidion.
“The RA victim tried to intervene but was also attacked,” added Gidion.

The perpetrator stabbed 2 victims
The police explained that the perpetrator with the initials TS hit the victim OS in the head using a glass bottle and throwing a large rock. Meanwhile, the PA perpetrator stabbed RA victim with a dagger.
“When the victim was beaten, the head of the OS victim was hit with a glass bottle, and a large rock was also thrown by the perpetrator TS, which made the victim OS dizzy,” said North Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Gidion Arif Setyawan.
“Then the PA perpetrator turned his motorbike around, then after that got off, and immediately took out a sharp dagger type weapon hidden in his right waist, then stabbed the RA victim once with a badik type weapon in the left thigh,” continued Gidion.
Gidion said PA not only stabbed RA victims, but also OS victims. After the action, PA, IC and TS fled.
“Then after stabbing the RA victim, the PA perpetrator ran towards the OS victim. When he was about to fall, the PA perpetrator stabbed the victim OS’s thigh with a dagger once, hitting her left thigh. Then after that the perpetrators ran away,” he added.
In that incident, Gideon said the RA victim died on the spot. Meanwhile, the OS victim was still conscious and was immediately evacuated to the Koja Hospital, North Jakarta.
“The RA victim died on the spot while the OS victim was still conscious and was taken to the Koja Hospital for medical treatment,” he said.
2 Perpetrators Arrested, 1 Fugitive
As many as three people became the perpetrators of the murder in Koja, North Jakarta. The police have arrested two of the murderers.
“Within 4 hours we managed to arrest 2 people, the initials SA (25) and IC (21). Both are the main perpetrators,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the North Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Iver Son Manossoh to reporters, Thursday (7/9/2023 ).
In this case, the police arrested the perpetrators with the initials PA (25) and IC (21), while the perpetrators with the initials TS are still being pursued. Now, the police are still hunting for TS.
“We have pocketed the identities of the other perpetrators, we are currently pursuing them,” he added.
