In mid-June, a 21-year-old woman died when she was pushed to her death at Neuschwanstein Castle near the city of Füssen in Germany.
Her 22-year-old friend tried to stop the perpetrator, before she herself was pushed 50 meters down a cliff. She was hospitalized with extensive injuries.
A 31-year-old American is now charged with murder, rape and attempted murder after the attack on the American women. It reports BBC.
Lifetime risk
The man risks life in prison, if he is convicted in court.
The prosecution says that the man must have taken the two women away from the path, close to the well-known lookout point on the Marienbrücke bridge. He is then said to have sexually assaulted the youngest.
