The 23-year-old from the Münster-Tinnen Golf Club has now won the first professional golf tournament of her career in Beaumont, California. A week earlier she had finished sixth at a tournament in Arizona. Sophie Hausmann has lived near Orlando, Florida, for several years. After completing her studies there, she decided to start a professional golf career in the USA.
Friends and family of the native Nottulner had to celebrate Sophie’s first professional victory because of the corona pandemic at home. Sophie herself remained down to earth with the facts. “The win gives me a boost in confidence, it’s definitely a great start. But the season is still long and I still have a lot to do, ”she says.
