In recent years we have lived moments that will mark us forever. And now with this project that is part of “200 years 200 murals,” they will be reflected in our streets with the art of graffiti, since 100 graffiti artists will paint 100 murals on the curtains of the commercial premises located on Avenida 5 de Abril, together with the Cultural Center of Minds.
“We have lived moments that will mark us for a lifetime and we want to capture them in our streets. On Avenida 5 de abril, the first night graffiti art museum will be experienced in Maipú, a series of milestones that will accompany us and that will give life and color to the history of our country and our commune ”, said the Mayor Cathy Barriga Guerra.
The young people previously participated in a contest where approximately 300 applicants were presented and who were asked to send their sketch, inspired by topics relevant to society such as Childhood, Youth, Seniors, Gender Equality, Indigenous Peoples, Ecology, etc. .
“We are very happy as Centro Cultural De Mentes developing this initiative and that they have given us the mission of beautifying this beautiful commune,” said David Calderón, from De Mentes.
It should be noted that the painting works are taking place this Monday 22, Tuesday 23, Friday 26 and Saturday 27 at night.
