“On the occasion of today’s publications (30.08.2024) concerning the amusement park in Neapoli, in the context of the annual Larissa 2024 trade fair, the following is highlighted by the Municipality of Larissa:
The safety of citizens, ensuring conditions for smooth operation and protection from risks of all types are key priorities and non-negotiable principles in every event organized under the auspices of the Municipality of Larissa.
The same applies to the observance of the principles of legality, in any procedure related to a public tender.
Based on the announcement of the auction for the lease of the area for the installation and operation of the amusement park, in Neapolis, in the context of the annual Larissa trade fair 2024 and specifically in the supporting documents for participation (art. 6 of the announcement), under penalty of exclusion, it was provided, among other things, “excerpt criminal record, issued in the last quarter, from which it can be seen that he has not been convicted of an offense related to the exercise of his professional activity”.
During the auction process, the bidder submitted the file of the required supporting documents, including the extract from the criminal record, which was blank (zero).
After the supporting documents were checked, the competent Committee of the competition that had been set up for this purpose, proceeded to announce the highest bidder, as it should.
During the process of re-checking the submitted supporting documents, the authenticity of the aforementioned proof was confirmed.”
