Holwierde – The Municipal Executive has canceled the contract with Zorgboerderij Oldenbosch as of February 5, 2023. This is because the care farm, despite a recovery period offered, was unable to meet a number of points from the contract that the municipality had concluded with the care farm.
Alderman Meindert Joostens: “In September 2022, the Municipal Executive received the investigation into Care Farm Oldenbosch from the Wmo supervisor. That investigation showed that the Care Farm did not comply with the agreements on a number of points in the contract. The Board then gave Zorgboerderij Oldenbosch three months to comply with the agreements”.
In January 2023, the Board received the final report from the Wmo supervisor. This shows that the agreements are still not being met on several points. This does not do justice to the clients’ interest in good support. That is why the Board has decided to terminate the contract with Zorgboerderij Oldenbosch as of February 5, 2023,” says Meindert Joostens.
The Care Farm is instructed to transfer the current Wmo clients to another provider with whom the municipality has a contract. The municipality will ensure that this transfer goes smoothly.
