Basketball club “Chernomorets” has always received support from the Municipality of Burgas. In the last few months, the Municipality of Burgas not only fulfilled its promises to the club, but also made many efforts so that BC “Chernomorets” could continue to compete in the Member League National basket.
Not only has the financial commitment to the club been met by the City, but it has also increased over the years.
The reason is that BC “Chernomorets” is not allowed to participate in the NBL in Burgas Municipality, but in the financial obligations of the team to the players.
In the last few days, the administration has made a lot of efforts so that “Chernomorets” can get their money back to clear their obligations to the players and be able to participate in the NBL again.
Various options were proposed to the Bulgarian Basketball Federation for this to happen.
In the end, the BBF made another decision – that the team “Chernomorets” will not play in the NBL this year.
Despite this decision, the Municipality of Burgas will continue to support and help BC “Chernomorets” until it stands, hoping that the team will return next year stronger where it is – among the elite native basketball.
