The green activities of the city and the beauty of the main reserves were launched this Friday, August 9 in Bobo-Dioulasso. The starting signal was given by several authorities on the Châlons-en-Champagne route in department 17, district 5 of the city.
During the National Day of Trees launched by the highest authorities in the country on June 22, 2024, the consultation framework of economic operators guaranteed that the city of Bobo-Dioulasso would be green. This is how Friday August 9, 2024 was chosen to launch this activity. Hundreds of plants will be planted through this work.
According to the Minister of the environment, Roger Baro, “this action is the result of the call from the Head of State to make our cities green. He invited individuals and legal entities to get involved in locking down our cities. This is what we want to achieve by approaching technical environmental services.”
For Mahamadou Barry, president of the Hauts-Bassins Economic Operators Consultative Framework, “we want to honor our commitment. For this, we invite local people to preserve and protect them.”
Laurent Kontogom, president of the special municipal delegation of Bobo-Dioulasso, welcomed this initiative.
