Municipality of Athens: Resolution for a ceasefire in Gaza and disengagement of Greece from the war –

“It is the first resolution of a municipality of a European capital denouncing the genocide. I hope it helps.” Kostas Papadakis, head of the “Subversive Alliance for Athens” faction, says in a post about a resolution on the ceasefire in Gaza approved by the Municipality of Athens.

As it states “the Municipality of Athens voted a little while ago for the resolution for the ceasefire in Gaza and the disengagement of Greece from the war”.

It also mentions how the municipal factions voted: “For the Doukas faction: “Athens now”, “Open City” and us, the “Subversive Alliance for Athens”. The factions Bakoyannis abstained: “Athens above” (without justification) and “Laiki Sispirosis” (on the grounds that it does not mention a major political rationale). According to Papadopoulou, “Our Athens” with pro-Israel reasoning”.

Kostas Papadakis’s post:

“This time we succeeded. A short time ago, the Municipality of Athens voted in favor of the resolution for the ceasefire in Gaza and the disengagement of Greece from the war. The text of the resolution is in the photo. In favor of the Douka faction: “Athens now”, the “Open City” and us, the “Subversive Alliance for Athens”. The factions Bakoyannis abstained: “Athens high” (without justification) and “Popular Rally” (on the grounds that it does not mention a major political rationale). According to Papadopoulou, “Our Athens” with a pro-Israel rationale.

The submission of the text with the 5,200 signatures supporting the appeal was preceded.

It is the first resolution of a municipality of a European capital denouncing the genocide. I hope it helps.”
