The Valencian Community this Saturday celebrates four months since the first coronavirus outbreak after the end of the state of alarm, a period in which 1,566 outbreaks have been reported in which 8,390 people have been infected, which yields an average of 5’39 cases per outbreak. Some curiosities about the outbreaks detected between June 24, when the first outbreak was confirmed, in Rafelbunyol (Valencia), and on October 23, when the Ministry of Health notified a total of 53 new outbreaks, are the following:
– THE MUNICIPALITY WITH THE MOST OUTBREAKS: The city of the Valencian Community that has registered the highest number of outbreaks over these four months is its capital, Valencia, with a total of 483 reported outbreaks.
– THE CITIES WITH THE MOST SPOTLIGHTS: A dozen cities in the Valencian Community have recorded more than twenty outbreaks in these seventeen weeks: six from the province of Valencia, four from Alicante and two from Castellón.
In the province of ValenciaThis is the case, in addition to the capital, with 483 outbreaks, Sagunto, with 36; Ontinyent, with 31; Burjassot, with 27; Paterna, with 23, and Gandia, with 21 shoots.
In the province of AlicanteThe towns of Elche have exceeded twenty regrowths, with 77; Orihuela, with 37; Alicante, with 34, and Dénia, with 24 spots.
The two towns in the province of Castellón that have had more than twenty outbreaks throughout these 122 days have been the capital, with a total of 87 outbreaks, and Onda, with 21 outbreaks.
– THE OUTBREAKS WITH THE MOST CASES: Of the one thousand and a half outbreaks that have occurred in these four months, there are two that stand out for the number of people who have been affected.
The first place on this list is occupied by the outbreak caused by a party held at the end of September at the Colegio Mayor. Galileo Galilei de València, which resulted in 168 infected people and forced to suspend the classes of 25,000 students.
The second place in terms of number of cases per outbreak is occupied by the Valencian town of Gandia, which in mid-July registered an outbreak that affected 158 people, which led to the closure of nightlife for two weeks.
Below is an outbreak recorded in Peniscola with 67 cases; one Valencia with 38 cases; one Castelló with 35 affected; two outbreaks in Guadassuar and Sagunto, with 33 cases each; Onda with 27 cases, Benigànim and Cox with 24 cases each.
This list is completed by an outbreak in the city of Valencia with 23 cases; one in Requena and another in Castellón with 22 cases each; another outbreak in Onda and one in Pilar de la Horadada, with 21 positives respectively.
– GROWTH OF SPROUTS: the detection of new coronavirus outbreaks has experienced exponential growth, and only so far in October a total of 508 outbreaks have been confirmed, representing a daily average of 22.1 outbreaks, higher than that registered in all the month of September, which was 21.3 outbreaks per day on average.
From June 24, the date of the first outbreak, to July 31, 61 outbreaks and 681 infected were reported; in August there were 386 outbreaks of covid-19 that affected 1,821 people; In September, 640 outbreaks were recorded, with 3,066 infected people, and October has currently 508 outbreaks, with 2,706 affected.
