“Municipal School of Music fills the streets of Leganés with talent in ‘Plaza Activa’ concerts”

The Municipal School of Music ‘Manuel Rodríguez Sales’ has put the soundtrack to the weekend showing his talent in the streets of our town with two appointments framed in the ‘Plaza Activa’ cycle, that will take the music of the School through the squares of Leganés until the middle of next June.

The first of the appointments took place on Saturday afternoon, when the Symphonic Band of the Municipal School of Music offered a concert in an incomparable setting: the patio of the Sabatini building of the Carlos III University of Madrid. Dozens of neighbors attended the concert, enjoying an iconic space in our city.

Sunday morning The second of the appointments arrived in the Plaza del Alcalde José María Matheo de Luaces, in the neighborhood of Arroyo Culebro, with the Saxophone Ensemble of the Municipal School of Music. In this way, the residents of Leganés were able to enjoy the works offered by the students of the School in different neighborhoods of the city.

Also in the afternoon they had a new appointment and that is, the Symphony Orchestra and the Diocesan Choir of Getafe organized a concert at CC Saramago in honor of the anniversary of the Juan Muñoz Foundation.

This very week, the Municipal School of Music has several appointments on its calendar. In the next month we will have the opportunity to attend the concerts of the youth band and the percussion group (June 4, 12:00 noon); the guitar orchestra and guitar camerata (June 11, 12:00 noon); and the band meeting (June 17, 7:30 p.m.).
