The mayor of San Salvador, Mario Durán, stated in an interview that the capital’s municipal market network will have solar energy.
“We already have approaches with different companies for the installation of solar panels in the markets,” said Durán. In addition, he added that with this type of energy it will allow municipal plazas to be “self-sustainable energy generation.”
Also, the mayor of Captialino explained that “The markets are the best opportunity for the economy and generate significant savings. We have opted for the modernization of these spaces through cleaning, inspections and infrastructure improvements, he recalled.
On the other hand, the mayor of San Salvador is preparing to hand over the market of the Escalón neighborhood to the inhabitants. Likewise, they will soon begin to build a new market on the site of the old national library.
