As the Eid Al Fitr festivity is underway, municipal inspectors in Qatar are now in public parks, beaches, and Corniche to ensure compliance with environment and hygiene laws. To maintain a healthy and clean environment, visitors are reminded to dispose of waste in designated containers, avoid damaging plants and ecosystems, refrain from making fires directly on the sand, and report any violations to the Ministry of Municipality through their unified call center No.184 or Oun app. Those who are caught throwing food waste and violating hygiene laws will face a fine of up to QR10,000. The Ministry of Municipality and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change are intensifying their campaigns to curb violations, and they have organized an awareness session to raise public awareness of the Public Hygiene Law No. 18 of 2017. Let’s all work together and commit to preserving the beauty of our parks and beaches by keeping them clean and reporting any violations to the authorities.
