It is a major victory for the Greens. The candidate EELV Grégory Doucet topped the second round of municipal elections in Lyon (Rhône) with 53.5% of the votes, according to Ipsos / Sopra Steria estimates. It therefore follows Gérard Collomb, who was a candidate for the metropolis.
Grégory Doucet is ahead of Yann Cucherat who obtains 30.5% of the votes and Georges Képénékian who collects 16% of the votes.
The eco-friendly came first in the first round on March 15, with 28.5% of the vote. He was ahead of Etienne Blanc (LR, 17%), Yann Cucherat (LREM and assistant to Gérard Collomb, 14.9%) and Georges Képénékian (various centers, 12%).

In Lyon, residents also voted this Sunday to elect 150 metropolitan councilors, responsible for representing the 59 municipalities that make up the metropolis. There too, in the first round it was the EELV candidate who came out on top, Bruno Bernard obtained 37% of the votes.
