Municipal establishments of Rancagua pay tribute and minute of silence for the murder of 3 Carabineros – 2024-04-29 23:33:23

During the morning of this Monday, an emotional tribute was paid by the students of municipal schools of Rancagua, in memory of the 3 Carabineros who were murdered in Cañete, an opportunity where the educational communities also had spaces for conversation in the classrooms, as as indicated by the Ministry of Education.

Thus, in the educational establishments of Rancagua, between 8:00 and 8:30 in the morning, hundreds of students gathered in memory of the new martyrs of the Carabineros.

One of the establishments that paid an emotional tribute was the educational community of the Moisés Mussa school, who were also accompanied by the protocol mayor, Valentina Cáceres; the elected substitute mayor, Emerson Avendaño; education minister Alyson Hadad; the Carabineros non-commissioned officer, Mauricio Aravena; councilors Viviana Morales, Carlos Arellano and Hugo Guzmán; the director of the Moisés Mussa school, Mónica Gálvez; and representatives of the Carabineros, who also played the traditional trumpet call to begin the minute of silence.

For his part, the elected substitute mayor, Emerson Avendaño, indicated that “we did this small act to the Carabineros of Chile in memory of those who were unjustly murdered and who through these murders damaged democracy. I want to call on each of the Rancagüinos to reflect and know that, despite the inclemencies, we are going to prevail, we are going to continue, we are going to recover our peace and tranquility as institutions, as a nation and as a Republic.”

In the instance, the protocol mayor, Valentina Cáceres, pointed out that “we had an attack that mourned us as a nation, as Rancagüinas, that is why we wanted to take an instance of education, of respect, to provide all the support to an institution that Today we are going through difficult days and to make available all the tools that the municipality has to move forward and to continue protecting our neighbors.”

Added to this are the words of the education minister, Alyson Hadad, who assured that “the call is for reflection in each of the classrooms, at all educational levels because we cannot allow acts of violence to be the direction.” let our country continue; but on the contrary, we must work for the peaceful resolution of conflicts.”

Along these same lines, Councilor Viviana Morales mentioned that “as communal authorities it is our responsibility to generate a commemorative act and I hope that the Chamber of Deputies and Senators can legislate in favor of giving protection to the Carabineros and all Chileans.”

Councilor Carlos Arellano stated that “this non-violence that we must exercise as a community is based on the education and training of our boys and girls. I believe that non-violence as a way of life is the best way to be able to accept these facts (…) which must be an example so that our boys and girls do not replicate violence in schools, in their population, in their homes.”

Finally, councilor Hugo Guzmán highlighted that “this tribute has been a fair and necessary act that highlights and puts the work of the Carabineros in its proper place, and above all, shares this feeling and this experience with young students from the highest school. ancient from Chile. It is important to remember that great alumni have come from this school and among them many Carabineros who have served in different positions within the institution.”
