Masked men attacked a municipal councilor in Sofia. Ivan Alexiev himself raised the alarm about this.
The mayor has a broken nose and bruises on his forehead.
According to him, he was attacked in broad daylight in front of his home.
“Around 11.30 walking past my block, I stopped to talk to a grandfather. Two masked men came by, sprayed me with spray and started hitting.”
Alexiev was elected from the list of “Vazrazhdane”, but then became independent. According to him, this may have something to do with the incident.
“The mayoral campaign was with 0 BGN. The party did not support us. They are also stopping us from initiatives,” the municipal councilor revealed to BTV.
He says that he was threatened by the party structure, his children were also threatened. The reason – pressure to leave the Metropolitan Municipal Council.
