In keeping with the motto “GEHmeindeRADsession”, the Mank municipal council decided to purchase land for the cycle path to Loipersdorf in its most recent meeting. A total of around 750 square meters of arable land was purchased from the Brader family for this purpose. This area serves to extend the cycle path along the main road in the direction of Loipersdorf.
The surveying and substructure of the path will start in the summer. The redesign of Loosdorferstraße, which will have a central island, was coordinated with the residents by City Manager Leonhardsberger (ÖVP).
The middle island, construction is to start in the fall, should bring a speed reduction. “Thanks to the goodwill of the landowners, this solution became possible,” says Leonhardsberger.
